Ed Boerman’s 50th Anniversary

Last week, all of us at Boerman Moving & Storage celebrated our chairman of the board, Ed Boerman’s 50 years at Boerman. Ed started in the business when he was just 16, initially as a helper, but eventually held a variety of different positions.

During college, Ed served as a driver and a dispatcher and shortly after graduation, became the Operations Manager and succeeded his uncle as the president to become the third generation Boerman to run the business. He has served as Chairman of the Bekins Advisory Council, Board of Directors for Bekins Van Lines, Board of Directors of Illinois Movers Association, and President of Illinois Movers Tariff Bureau.

Thanks to Ed, Boerman has hit many milestones. Some of these accomplishments are being Bekin’s agent of the month numerous times, agent of the year on many occasions, consistently leading in sales, and employing some of the country’s best drivers.

Throughout the past 50 years, not only has Ed earned the title of “Chairman of the Board,” but is also a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Thank you so much Ed for everything you’ve done and continue to do!
