Every year, one of our favorite signs that fall has arrived is seeing coat donation boxes start filling up across our community.
This year was no different.
For the 14th year, Boerman Moving & Storage and Chicagoland Home Staging partnered with WINGS to collect new and gently used coats for individuals and families in need. Between collection boxes throughout the western suburbs, donations dropped off at our Woodridge office, and the option to buy and donate coats online, there were plenty of ways to get involved.
And our community showed up!
This year, we collected 454 coats for WINGS.
By the Numbers
- 454 coats donated
- 18 collection locations
- 11+ communities, from Algonquin all the way down to Plainfield
- Two locations that each filled their boxes with more than 60 coats
Every box counted and helped someone stay warm this winter.
14 Years of Supporting WINGS
It’s pretty incredible to think we’ve been doing this for 14 years, and even more special to celebrate it during Boerman’s 100th year.
WINGS provides critical services and support to adults and children affected by domestic violence, and we’re proud to play a small part in the work they do.
Thank You to Our 2026 Collection Locations!

Fourteen years in, and we’re already looking forward to year 15.
Thank you to WINGS for everything you do for our community, to our collection partners for giving us a place to gather donations, and to every single person who helped fill those boxes.
We’ll see you all next fall!
